The National face of the U3A movement in Australia
U3A Australia Ltd is the peak body for 250 U3As (Universities of the Third Age) throughout Australia in all states and territories.
U3As are volunteer-led and managed community groups, offering education, social activities, and community connection. Each U3A promotes healthy ageing by sharing classes and activities provided by its own members. There are no qualifications for membership; no degrees or diplomas are awarded.
U3A Australia advocates for the U3A movement at a national level to business, government, educational and community organisations.
It also co-ordinates activities and opportunities among state bodies, local U3A's and U3A Online. U3A Online is a 25-year old pioneer in online education and self-learning.

GEMS
The members of U3A Australia contribute to a quarterly information resourcecalled GEMS which provides regular updates of news and information about U3A in their state or territory, and other information of mutual interest.
